Look out, it's Lila!
A sweet-faced topless go-go dancer, Lila loves mixing S-E-X with L-S-D.
Trouble is, when she starts hallucinating, she sees flashing lights and swirling colors and - oh no! - a creepy fat guy holding dollar bills and bananas!
Panicking, the freaked-out Lila then grabs a handy meat cleaver and promptly hacks up her lovers in an acid-fueled frenzy.
Oops. With her victims piling up, two detectives desperately try to track her down before the drug-crazed cutie can kill again.
As one of the cops so aptly puts it, "She's on a baaaaaad trip!"
A mesmerizing mix of murder and madness from producer Harry Novak (Please Don't Eat My Mother), MANTIS IN LACE also features cult favorite Stuart Lancaster (Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!) as a doomed psychologist, the lovely gyrating torso of skin starlet Pat Barrington (star of Orgy of the Dead), psychedelic cinematography by laszlo Kovacs (Ghostbusters), and a hypnotic theme song that will live in your brain forever.
Best of all, this is the video premiere of the rare, uncut and unrated version, also known as LILA, which has been digitally remastered from the original 35mm hallucinogenic negative.

In einer abgelegenen Lagerhalle hat Stripperin Lila Geschlechtsverkehr der etwas anderen Art, denn ihr Lover füllt sie vor dem Sex mit einer LSD-Pille ab, was leider tödliche Folgen mit sich zieht.
Denn Lila findet sich alsbald auf einem schlechten Trip wieder, ersticht ihren Liebhaber mit einem Schraubenzieher und leidet fortan unter einer gespaltenen Persönlichkeit.
Tagsüber verdingt sie sich als Table Dancer in den Clubs, des Nachts jedoch schleppt sie ahnungslose Männer in die Lagerhalle, um sie dann im Drogenrausch zu ermorden...
Dieser obskure Sex´n Drugs-Thriller aus dem Nightclub-Milieu ist eines der Highlights aus dem reichhaltigen Programm von Something Weird Video.
Dabei ist weniger die Story faszinierend, sondern die Art, wie diese bildtechnisch umgesetzt wurde.
