This is a tough film to describe but if you like experimental weirdness and a taste of some of De Palma's greatness to come, then you'll at least want to see this. Seems this young woman has become engaged to a strange film maker, and yes, I mean HE'S strange but apparently so are his films. He wants to make this one film so he can divorce his wife, so he says. And then begins this twisted adventure, of sorts, as time runs backwards and forwards and we're shown the same scenarios more than once, from different perspectives, and showing HOW things happened in earlier segments. So you have to work with this one a bit. Most interesting is a scene with Otto, who is apparently some kind of studio assistant to this film maker, and who is either a psychotic killer or just a goofy studio assistant that gets wrapped up in this strange little murder mystery. And has there even BEEN a murder?
